Continuing Education Committee July 2007
Dear Carolyn,

We of the Continuing Education Committee need your response to the teleseminar survey created to determine what training you want to enhance your practice. It's our job to take your feedback and design outstanding teleseminars that make it easy and affordable to hone your skills. Our next course this fall is Practitioner Mentoring with Victoria Benoit.

Our first program was Ardis Ozborn' Five Element series followed by Ellen Shapiro's Marketing Resonance Repatterning series which is already in its second run. Both Ardis and Victoria are Resonance Repatterning teachers and Ellen's experience as a seasoned Resonance repatterning practitioner coupled with her marketing know-how helped to clear fears about money, putting ourselves out there, being successful, etc. In addition to helping individual practitioners succeed, these courses strengthens the field for RR to soar onto the alternative health map!

So, what do we want to focus on next?
knowledge tree The survey offers many excellent suggestions. We need your feedback to make a choice. Look for advanced modality courses, "what the bleep" type lectures, as well as business-related programs, such as how to give a memorable presentation, develop a public presence, write information articles, give a radio interview, -really great ideas!

We also listed  "Fast Track RR," which needs a little explanation.  This idea sprang from a discussion about how to market RR to a wider audience by finding a market niche other than the one-hour "therapy" sessions.  Let's face it-not every one is in the "personal growth" market, but most folks want success in reaching their goals. For example, in the sports arena, we could offer (and get paid for!) 10 minute warm-up sessions --at a gym, golf course or soccer field.  In a business context, we could lead a brief "eyes on the prize" sessions before weekly meetings; in educational settings we could offer "pace and focus" sessions before exams like the SAT'S ; or get people on for weight loss or smoking cessation programs. The possibilities for short goal-oriented "tune-ups" are endless! Maybe some of you who are already capitalizing on this approach-we'd love to hear about it.

decisions Your Opinion Counts!

Click on Survey to review the enticing menu of ideas presented-and share your own!-- so we can move ahead to create cutting-edge programs from which all of us can benefit. In addition to learning specific skills, teleconferencing is an excellent way to link up with other practitioners-it can get lonely out here on the frontier! Those who took the marketing class commented that networking with motivated colleagues was icing on the cake.

Please send in your thoughts soon so we can plan for teleseminars in 2008!  The survey closes August 24th but we would love your opinions as soon as possible.

Have a wonderful summer!

Sincerely,

Karen Kent, Tina Beneman, and Shantell Warton
